_______ Maine Coon cats are medium on the allergy scale and some people with allergies to cats do not react to Maine Coon but we cannot guarantee that you or someone you know will not have a reaction. You need to be prepared to manage any allergy symptoms that occur. You may not return a kitten or receive a refund because of an allergy. We make no guarantee as to the color, coat or personality characteristics of your kitten. We strongly discourage de-clawing of the kitten for many reasons. Kitten shall not be declawed unless there is a medical reason to do so.

_________ The seller will not be held responsible for any harm incurred during the shipping process when kitten is not in the seller’s care. The seller is not responsible for any illnesses contracted during travel.

_______ Common illnesses and conditions such as upper respiratory tract infections (“Cat f
lu” HSV-1 & Feline calicivirus ect.), eye infections, fleas, parasites, acquired herpes virus & GI viruses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. These infections and viruses can be contracted anywhere in the environment after leaving the sellers home and are not a result of genetics or breeding practices. Kitten should be seen at the veterinarian within three days of leaving the sellers home. The kitten should not be administered the rabies vaccine at the same time as any other vaccines.

______________ The seller guarantees the cat against lethal genetic or congenital defects for one year following the date of purchase. If the cat should die or have to be destroyed due to a genetic or congenital defect, the seller will replace the cat/kitten with a cat/kitten at the seller’s earliest convenience, should the following conditions be met: the purchaser provides the seller with a necropsy by a licensed impartial veterinary pathologist, at the purchaser’s expense, stating that the cause of death is unquestionably a genetic or congenital defect, a second examination by a veterinarian of the seller’s choice corroborate these claims. Kitten is being sold with pet/show/breeding potential. There are no guarantees made by this seller that the kitten will grow to fulfill his/her pet/show/breeding potential.

Seller is not responsible if the kitten dies of a virus from being exposed to another cat not from the Seller’s Home. Under no circumstance will any veterinary bills incurred by the buyer be reimbursed by the seller.

____________ Buyer agrees that kitten will not be sold, leased or given away. It is not unusual for Maine Coon to live beyond 18yrs old. They are generally a very healthy and hearty breed. If for whatever reason buyer can no longer keep the kitten/cat then the seller gets first right of refusal. If this kitten is being sold with another kitten as a “breeding pair”, both kittens are considered “unrelated” if born from different parents.______ Any kitten needing to be returned for ANY reason will be subject to a 25% non-negotiable charge for veterinarian expenses and quarantine fee. In signing this document, buyer and seller acknowledge that he or she fully understands all of the terms and conditions listed above and agrees to abide by them.
